Coronavirus – Protection against infection in road freight transport <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/h3>

The European Commission guidelines for transport<\/strong>\u00a0during coronavirus pandemic<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

In this fight transport plays the one of the most important roles, thanks to drivers and transport companies we can enjoy full shelves in stores.<\/span><\/p>

Green light at border crossing points<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

  1. Green stripes are to be created, i.e. space for each type of transported goods.<\/span><\/li>
  2. In these places, roadside checks and medical examinations will not last longer than 15 minutes. Drivers will be asked to provide an identification document,<\/span> electronic display of the document should be sufficient !!!<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

    Quarantine and a professional driver<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

    1. Once again we confirm that a professional driver is released from quarantine, regardless of citizenship and place of residence.<\/span><\/li>
    2. Drivers do not need a medical certificate about their health.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

      Recommendations for drivers and companies<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

      1. The driver should absolutely avoid leaving the cabin, and in situations that require it, to keep the prescribed distance.<\/span><\/li>
      2. It is a good practice to wear protective masks and gloves; make sure you have an adequate storage in your cabin.<\/span><\/li>
      3. The Commission encourages the use of digital documents and recommends that companies to send them in advance; these are documents required during loading and unloading.<\/span><\/li>
      4. Before each new use, or while changing the drivers; remember to disinfect the cabin.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

        New recommendations for loading and unloading<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

        1. Please note that these sites are extremely vulnerable to infection. Exchange of documents, close contact with employees of these plants.<\/span><\/li>
        2. Please take extraordinary precautions, where\u2019s possible the driver should not leave the cabin; in situation that require supervision of the driver, please keep a safe distance.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

          Breaks and rests<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

          1. Please spend this time in isolation from other people, it is a difficult period, but we have no choice.<\/span><\/li>
          2. This is not the time to talk to other drivers and parking staff.<\/span><\/li>
          3. Meals are recommended to be eaten in isolation, if possible in the open air away from other people.<\/span><\/li>
          4. The best place for a meal is the truck’s cabin, remember to disinfect.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

            Behaviour during checks and waiting at the borders<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

            1. In places where border controls take place, we behave the same as while loading and unloading.<\/span><\/li>
            2. The driver does not leave the truck; hand over documents with extreme caution in gloves and hand disinfection.<\/span><\/li>
            3. If the driver is asked to complete documents, he should do so without leaving the vehicle.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>
